Srinagar, Apr 07 (KNO): The Rouble Nagi Art Foundation (RNAF), led by its founder Rouble Nagi, on Tuesday inaugurated three new computer centres across Kashmir, further strengthening its commitment to digital education and youth empowerment.
A spokesperson of the Foundation, in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the initiative follows the foundation’s announcement last month to expand access to technology in underserved parts of the Valley.
He said that over the past three years, RNAF has established several computer centres across Kashmir, playing a key role in promoting digital inclusion. The addition of these three centres marks another milestone in its ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide and equip young people with essential technological skills.
The newly inaugurated centres are located at Islamic Educational Institute, Sangam (Eidgah, Srinagar), Soliah School, Narbal (Budgam), and Mehboob-ul-Alam Public School, Bandgam (Budgam).
The spokesperson said that during the visits, Nagi—recipient of the Global Teachers Prize 2026—interacted with students and faculty, reiterating the foundation’s mission to create equitable learning opportunities through technology-driven education.
Addressing the gatherings, she underscored the growing importance of digital literacy in today’s rapidly evolving world. She stressed that staying connected with emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, is no longer optional but essential.
"Computer education serves as a critical foundation for future readiness, enabling students to access global knowledge, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and actively participate in the digital economy,” Nabi, according to the spokesperson, said.
She further noted that integrating technology into education nurtures innovation, creativity, and self-reliance, especially in regions where access to such resources has traditionally been limited.
“The Rouble Nagi Art Foundation continues to work at the intersection of art, education, and social development, with a sustained focus on empowering communities through impactful and sustainable initiatives,” the spokesperson said—(KNO)
